How to verify an APMT operator certificate

APMT · Academia Profesional de Maquinaria y TransportePublished: Leer en español

Short answer

How do I check whether an operator certificate is real?

Scan the certificate's QR or go to maquinariatraining.com/certificados/verificar and type the code, formatted APMT-XXXX-XXXX. With no account or sign-up, the page shows who it belongs to, the program, type and level, the dates and whether it is still valid. If the status is not "Active" or the details do not match the person, do not accept it and contact the academy.

Step by step

  1. Find the code

It is printed on the certificate: fourteen characters formatted APMT-XXXX-XXXX.

  2. Scan the QR or type the code

The QR opens the verification directly. If you cannot scan it, go to /certificados/verificar and type the code.

  3. Compare with the person

Check that name, program and certificate type match what you are being shown.

  4. Look at the status

Only "Active" means issued and valid today.

How an APMT certificate is verifiedThree steps from top to bottom: the printed certificate with its APMT-XXXX-XXXX code and QR; the phone that scans the QR or the page where the code is typed, with no account; and the result with name, program, type and level, dates and the Active status.1The certificatePrinted codeAPMT-XXXX-XXXX2Scan or typeQR with the phone camera, or/certificados/verificarNo account, no sign-up.3The resultActiveHolder's nameProgramType and levelIssue and expiry dates

What the verification shows (and what it does not)

It shows only what is needed to verify: holder's name, program, level, certificate type, status, dates, hours, delivery mode and country or center. It never shows the holder's contact details, their company or the details of their assessment.

The four statuses

  1. Active

Issued and valid as of today.

  2. Expired

It was issued, but its date has passed. Recertification is due.

  3. Revoked

APMT withdrew its validity. It must not be accepted.

  4. Superseded

A later version exists. Ask for the current one.

What each type certifies

  1. Participation certificate

The person attended the full program. It does not say they can do the job: nobody assessed them.

  2. Pass certificate

They passed the theory test or the initial practical. It does not certify autonomy on site: it was assessed in the classroom or on the simulator.

  3. APMT competency certificate

They performed the task in front of an authorized assessor, with stored evidence. This is the one that answers "can they get on the machine today?".

None replaces a license, permit or authorization required by law in your country. Regulatory or employment validity may vary by country, program and accrediting body.

Red flags

  • The code is not formatted APMT-XXXX-XXXX.
  • The code contains an O, a 0, an I or a 1: APMT codes do not use those characters, precisely so they are not confused when read aloud.
  • The verification says Expired, Revoked or Superseded.
  • The name or program does not match what you are shown.
  • You are asked to accept a photo of the certificate without being able to check the code.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to verify an APMT certificate?

No. Verification is public: scan the QR or type the code at /certificados/verificar.

What if the code does not show up?

Check you typed it correctly (codes do not use O, 0, I or 1). If it still does not show up, contact the academy from the verification page and they will confirm it manually.

Does an APMT certificate replace an operator license?

No. It does not replace any license, permit or authorization required by law in your country.

Why doesn't the verification show the holder's phone number?

For privacy: only what is needed to verify is published. Never contact details, company or assessment details.
